Welcome to the Middlesbrough Council School Admissions Year 7 (Y7) and Reception Online Applications Portal

This site is ONLY for pupils who live in Middlesbrough. If your child currently lives in another Local Authority area you must apply to the School Admissions team of the council where you live. Applications from addresses outside of Middlesbrough will not be accepted.

If you are, or will be moving house, you must not give future addresses as your current address, you must use your current address and inform us when you actually move, proof of the house move will be required.

When making an application, you can apply for schools both within your Local Authority area or within a different Local Authority area.

To use this site you will need to first register then you can add and view Y7 and Reception applications for School Admissions. If you have used this site before, please ensure that your address details are updated prior to making an application.

Please note this site is only available for applications for:

• Y6 children moving to secondary school (Y7) in September 2026 (applications invited between 8 September 2025 to 31 October 2025)

• nursery children who will be starting full time primary school (Reception) in September 2026 (applications invited between 14 November 2025 to 15 January 2026)

If you are applying outside of the prescribed dates or you wish to apply for a transfer between schools please contact us as this is not available on this website
